Excitement Builds for the Inaugural Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup

The final week of June unveiled the first six teams qualifying for the inaugural Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup. Teams Bliss, PSG Talon, FaZe Clan, w7m esports, FURIA Esports, and Team Liquid have clinched their spots to compete in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from July 31 to August 4.

 

However, with ten spots still up for grabs, nearly fifty teams worldwide remain in the running. These contenders span Europe, North America, Japan, Asia, MENA, and LATAM.

 

Who Will Qualify for the Esports World Cup?
Asian Esports World Cup Closed Qualifier (July 3-4)
Eight teams will battle it out, with Bleed Esports leading the charge. Their recent international performance, including a Top 12 finish at the Six Invitational 2024, makes them favorites. Fans are eager to see Jake “Leadr” Fortunato’s impact following Jay “Asphy” Wan’s departure. Competitors like FURY, Elevate, and Dire Wolves are also strong contenders.

 

MENA Esports World Cup Closed Qualifier (July 2-3)
Team Falcons and Geekay Esports are expected to clash in the grand final. Teams like Onyx Revens and ROC Esports have chosen full-MENA squads, providing a unique competitive edge. Notably, Team 86 alumni tucanQ and Robby will face off, adding extra drama to the qualifiers.

 

LATAM Esports World Cup Closed Qualifier (July 3-4)
Team Cruelty, Six Karma, and REVEN ECLUB are the top picks in this fiercely competitive region. The Brazilian powerhouse, Team Cruelty, is set to face Akave Esports first. On the other side of the bracket, REVEN ECLUB stands strong with its mixed European and American lineup.

 

Europe’s Closed Qualifier (July 5-7)
Europe’s best will compete, with Team BDS vs. Virtus.pro being the most anticipated match. G2 Esports, Team Secret, and Wolves Esports are among the top teams fighting for a spot. The semi-final winners will qualify for the World Cup, while the third-place decider match offers one last chance.

 

North America’s Closed Qualifier (July 5-7)
The North American qualifier features top teams like Soniqs, Oxygen Esports, and DarkZero Esports. Benjamin “Benjamaster” Dereli’s debut for Spacestation Gaming against Oxygen Esports is highly anticipated. As with Europe, semi-final winners and the third-place match winner will secure spots in Riyadh.

 

Japan’s Closed Qualifier (July 6-7)
SCARZ leads the Japanese qualifiers, expected to face CAG Osaka in the final. Their consistent performance in BLAST competitions makes them the team to beat.
