TikTok has been announced as the official entertainment partner for the first-ever Esports World Cup (EWC) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The event, which is anticipated to be the biggest of its kind, will take place from July 3 to August 25, 2024, according to Arab News.
TikTok has been named the Official Entertainment Partner of the Esports World Cup. The collaboration with the Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) was formally unveiled on Monday, July 1.
Mohammed Alnimer, the EWCF’s Sales Director, emphasized the partnership’s capacity to “transform esports content and entertainment for a wider audience.”
Alnimer praised TikTok for its distinctive capability to connect genuinely with esports communities around the globe and to bolster the athletes and teams involved in the EWC.
TikTok Introduces Exclusive Content and Features
In a new collaboration, TikTok is set to introduce an Esports World Cup Hub within its application. This hub will host exclusive content from the EWC’s official broadcasters, teams, and players, ensuring thorough and engaging coverage of the event.
Audiences will be treated to a range of captivating content, such as a weekly show featuring detailed reports and updates on the competition. The Esports World Cup will also produce content specifically designed for TikTok, fostering partnerships with well-known creators to inject new viewpoints into the esports sphere. To further enrich the fan experience, TikTok has organized a lineup of interactive activities. TikTok LIVE will present live streams from the event, with a variety of creators from across the globe hosting the broadcasts.

This tournament will host 22 events spanning 21 different video game titles, featuring fan favorites such as Apex Legends, DOTA 2, Overwatch 2, and Fortnite. Boasting a combined prize pool surpassing $60 million, it is anticipated to be the most substantial in the history of esports.
The prize pool encompasses individual tournament prizes, team qualification rewards, most valuable player (MVP) accolades, and the Club Championship, a multi-game contest that compiles the performances of all the participating organizations to determine the overall Club Champion.
